We’re proud to announce the brand new launch of our youth competition team under the name TBos Sparks! This is a dynamic group of talented young martial artists from CW Taekwondo and Modern TKD. The 2025 New England Open Championships is the first competition under this new name and combined team!
On Sunday, October 26th, twenty-five of our Sparks represented us with incredible heart and determination at the New England Championships in Littleton, MA. They opened the season strong, bringing home bronze, silver, and gold medals. Highlights included six athletes competing together in Family Poomsae and the first-ever sparring matches for several teammates. We’re so proud of their courage, sportsmanship, and energy, and we can’t wait to see how they grow as a team throughout the season! Parents, thank you for supporting your kids, their teammates, and TBos Sparks. We all know that your presence was the ultimate encouragement for them, especially our first-time competitors!
This tournament also marks an important tradition for our broader CW community. For over 20 years, CW Taekwondo and MIT Sport Taekwondo have helped run this family-oriented event led by Grandmaster Young A. Kwon. Each year, the CW community volunteer their time to staff rings, organize divisions, and make sure the event runs smoothly. This is a true reflection of our tight knit CW family, and our commitment to giving back to the Taekwondo community that has given us so much.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success,
from our dedicated competitors to our incredible volunteers. Everywhere we turned, we saw CW spirit in action, and there’s no feeling of pride quite like that.
