Congratulations to everyone who tested at the marathon test this past Saturday! So proud of how everyone performed and thrilled to see our club firing on all cylinders. Special note of the huge red belt/black stripe test.
Congrats to Leo, Kat Vulic and Leah on their 1st dan promotion! Leo completed at 15+ year journey to black belt after starting with us in old space in the church. Kat V shared her love of athletics and martial arts, and Leah showed how far she has come in adapting to the WT style and proved she earned her WT 1st Dan without a doubt!
For the upper Dan test, Robin showed that her road to recovery from her back injury was a special one and put together a very technical performance, and Kat Moore put a cap on her 10 years at CWB in the comp program, adult program and as a youth instructor and showed her hard-won technical progress.
Special shout out to all of the black belt mentors who helped really refine the technique of our candidates - the work really showed!
