Sport Taekwondo - Competition Training

Tuesdays and Thursdays - 9pm-10:30pm

CWB hosts workouts twice a week that are focused solely on sport or Olympic Taekwondo (Tae Kwon Do). The sessions are intended for upper level competitors who are actively competing or plan to be actively competing at sport Taekwondo events. Here's the story: The workouts are informal, but they are intense. It's not about anybody trying to be anybody else's coach or master, but just about bringing the best of New England Sport Taekwondo together in one place regularly. We've been doing it for several years now, and we know it works - it certainly works for athletes in Europe and around the world, and from our own experience, around the US as well. The team is made up of guys and girls from all over, including the US, Zaire, Cape Verde, Russia, Belarus, Dominican Republic, Lebanon, Brazil, and Trinidad. We thrive on training and rely on each other to push through the tough times.

Training at West Side Taekwondo

Some of the pictures shown were taken while the group was working out with the Danish National Team at West Side Taekwondo in New York under Masters Sung Chul and Jun Chul Whang of West Side Taekwondo and Master Bjarne Johansen of Denmark. The Whang brothers, co-founders of the original CW Taekwondo, continue to extend their coaching and hospitality to current members of CW Taekwondo@Boston. We're plenty indebted to them for all their help over the years!
